REACH (Regional Employment Assessment Center for Hiring)

The Regional Employment Assessment Center for Hiring (REACH) was established to help business grow and to support regional business retention. The REACH Center is designed to be a one-stop resource facility that offers varied service products to meet the needs of business in finding and hiring quality employees for high skill career fields. Here are a few services available from a full array of REACH solutions:

  • Indiana Career Connect - Job Posting and Candidate Search . Employers can now post jobs directly on the State of Indiana job matching system, Indiana Career Connect. Employers who used the job matching system in place before June 30th, 2008, either directly or through a staff person at the local WorkOne office, are already registered in the new system. To find out your new user name and establish a new password, call the employer services at the REACH Center (Lafayette - Kara Webb  765-477-1906  or Kokomo - Lorri Coulbern  765-854-1404) or email employerservices@workonewestcentral.org . Prior job postings are maintained in the new system and can easily be copied for new listings. Employers can also fax in the information by downloading this form and faxing it to the numbers on the form. Lists of job postings are no longer maintained in the regional offices.
  • WorkKeys profiling - Employers in the area have frequently expressed the need for thoroughly screened and assessed workers. WorkKeys is a customized employability skills assessment tool designed to insure that you have the right people staffing your key business positons along with Career Readiness Certificates. Here are some tips to help with your WorkKeys assessment preparation.
  • Company 'showcasing' - Companies have an opportunity to market to potential applicants and other regional businesses. Employers "showcase" their business and employment opportunities in the high traffic lobby of the REACH center on a rotating basis.
  • Customized Services - Customized recruitment events, Job order assistance, Grant funding resource information, Employment verification, Access to Workforce Readiness System, Access to Workplace Success Skills System, Business seminars, Customized screening/assessment, Intensive interviewing training, and Regional labor market information. We also offer Interviewing space, job fairs and On-the-job training.
